JANUARY 2018 - Pantomime
Our annual “panto” sailed into its 21st year with another great 4 performances of this pantomime favourite The show once again showcased a colourful performance full of wit, wacky characters, songs a plenty (pirate speak!!).
Our audiences loved it.
........is an earlier version of “Party Piece” (another play by this author), this play ingeniously uses the same set to represent three different homes. We see Charles, preoccupied with finding a fancy dress costume, and Norma, obsessed with her garden and kitchen; Hilary, returned from a health farm to find her mother-in-law in residence; and Susan and Keith, unable to enjoy a weekend without their children. Add a suicidal Katy and we are set for a confusing evening!
The set was huge, the plot confusing and the humour was dry, but our audience had a great time.
An enthusiastic audience came and witnessed our talented younger members strut their “stuff” as they presented a number of original pieces of material many specially written for them by their producer Beth Rutter.
A super evening was had by all as short sketches and situation dramas unfolded before our audiences.
Well done to Beth and her cast for a great evening of youth drama.
